Sparkle Granny Square Free Pattern!

I just love this traditional granny square fabric! It's worked in half trebles, in rounds from the centre outward and it's perfect for crafters just starting out on their crochet journey. The classic stitch resembles coarse lace and looks so pretty with an added sparkle! Add additional rows to increase the size of your granny square or create multiple small squares and join together for a yummy crochet blanket!

“Granny Square classic with added sparkle”

There is a free printer friendly version on my ravelry site - check it out here!

You will need:

Yarn James C Brett Twinkle DK(97% acrylic/3% Polyester, 100g/300m)

Hook 4mm (US G/6) standard crochet hook.

Other tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Tension gauge is not critical, but tension should be kept consistent for uniform squares

All terminology is UK. For US terminology read:

"Htr half double crochet"

*TIPS*

Always work 3htr groups into next available ch sp unless otherwise stated, not into next st.

Join yarn in ch2 sp of any corner when changing colours for new round. If you do not wish to change yarn each round, ss across to next corner at end of row.
